Adapting with covid-19
We are in a rapidly changing national and global situation where many people face uncertainty and stress that can in turn exacerbate or trigger mental health conditions.
If you are struggling, you are not alone!
Anchorage Counselling offers:
Video or phone counselling.
Safe face to face counselling with social distancing recommendations implemented at appointments.
We can assure prospective and current clients that Anchorage Counselling will continue operating and adapting the counselling services offered as government recommendations evolve.
Video counselling via Zoom
The Zoom platform is encrypted, safe and relatively easy to navigate using a PC, lap top, tablet or smart phone that has a camera and microphone together with a good internet connection and a private space. For further information about this platform, please go to https://zoom.us/
Face to Face counselling
For those attending appointments (until advised otherwise), clients can be assured that the following recommendations are adhered to:
Regular hand sanitisation with hand sanitiser available for use before and after appointments.
Surfaces, door handles, bathroom facilities and objects are wiped/cleaned and sprayed with disinfectant
Maintaining a 1.5 metre distance from each other
Shaking hands or contact is avoided
Coughing or sneezing into the elbow
Payment made by card only to reduce cash handling
If you have recently returned from overseas travel, or have been in contact with anyone who has returned from overseas travel or if you fit into a high vulnerability category or have contact with someone who fits the vulnerability criteria such as illness, age, immune system issues, self isolation is strongly recommended and the video counselling option implemented.
Anchorage Counselling trusts that you will take care of each other and yourselves throughout this unprecedented global event and above all, be kind!
If you are unsure of your own circumstances, please get in touch with your doctor or the National Coronavirus Helpline (1800 020 080).
